We're adding a Staff Accountant to our Corporate team! 

Requirements

  • 2+ years of staff accounting experience
  • Possess a BS in accounting
  • Skilled in MS Excel
  • Ability to maintain an excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, GM's and corporate employees

Experience in restaurant/hospitality industry is preferred; CPA is a plus.

Staff Accountants prepare, review, reconcile and maintain monthly and annual financial statements and sales, use and real estate tax returns. Also maintain related correspondence, work with operators to create annual budget and work with external audit team to complete annual audit.

Essential Functions

  • Prepares, reviews, reconciles and maintains monthly and annual financial statements including but not limited to profit and loss (P&L); sales and use tax returns, and bank statements
  • Partner with restaurant operational leadership to create annual budget for restaurants
  • Work with external auditing team to complete annual audit and review
  • Review monthly financial statement with restaurant operational team(s) to confirm accuracy, explain variance from budget, review line items and make changes as needed, providing variance analysis as needed
  • Maintain professional relationship with landlords including but not limited to correspondence as needed to address monthly expenses and annual reconciliation payments
  • Prepare, pay and file various taxes and returns with federal, state and local government agencies for multiple states
  • Manage and oversee accounts receivable collections for delivery services.
  • Assist restaurant and office managers on any accounting-related issues; act as liaison for store and corporate employees by effectively communicating in both written and spoken environments regarding financial information
  • Compiles company-wide, month-end closing flash report with another teammate outside of standard business hours twice a quarter
  • Maintain proficiency and safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools, equipment, software and platforms
  • Maintain availability to perform duties outside standard business hours on occasion as needed, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Occasionally work in a confined, crowded space of variable light, noise and temperature levels
  • Occasionally retrieve and distribute files or office supplies weighing up to 10 pounds
