Description

Leez Priory, England’s first licensed country house wedding venue, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Gardener to join our grounds team. Set within breathtaking acres of formal gardens and picturesque landscapes, this role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a love for horticulture.

Be Part of Someone’s Biggest Day

As a Gardener at Leez Priory, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the backdrop of a couple’s most special moments. From sculpting immaculate lawns to maintaining vibrant floral displays, your work will be captured in wedding photographs that last a lifetime. This is more than just a gardening role—it’s a chance to contribute to unforgettable memories.

Key Responsibilities

  • General garden maintenance, including pruning, weeding, planting, edging, and cutting back.
  • Lawn care, hedge cutting, and upkeep of formal garden areas.
  • Seasonal planting and renovation of garden spaces.
  • Polytunnel and vegetable garden maintenance.
  • Supporting the team with ongoing garden projects and improvements.
  • Addressing any guest-related garden issues or minor repairs.
  • Routine weekend cover required on a rota basis.
  • Lone working will be required, so the ability to work independently and take initiative is essential.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar gardening or groundskeeping role.
  • A strong understanding of horticultural practices and garden maintenance.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with great attention to detail.
  • Confidence in working independently and following lone-working procedures.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a busy wedding venue environment.
  • Due to the location, access to transport is essential.

Why Join Us?

  • Work in a stunning Grade I listed setting with beautiful historic gardens.
  • Be part of a supportive and experienced team.
  • Help create picture-perfect settings for weddings and special events.
  • A varied role with opportunities to contribute creative ideas to garden enhancements.

If you have a passion for horticulture and want to work in a truly unique setting, we’d love to hear from you! Apply today to be considered.
