Scope
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing our staff's skills in luxury hospitality and leadership, ensuring that our team delivers outstanding service and care. This role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that align with our commitment to luxury and excellence. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational training, focusing on elevating the hospitality and service standards in a premium care setting. The ideal candidate will drive excellence, foster a culture of hospitality, and ensure teams deliver an exceptional guest experience aligned with our organisation's luxury ethos.

Strategic Leadership
Design and implement a comprehensive training strategy tailored to the hospitality and service needs of a luxury care environment.
Collaborate with senior management to align training programs with the organisation's vision, values, and operational goals.
Monitor industry trends and emerging best practices to continuously refine training approaches, ensuring our homes remain at the forefront of luxury care and hospitality.
Create and implement leadership development initiatives to cultivate future leaders within the organization
Operational Training Delivery
· Develop and deliver engaging training programs on hospitality-focused areas, including front-of-house etiquette, food and beverage service, and guest interaction standards.
· Facilitate onboarding for new staff, ensuring an understanding of luxury service expectations and compliance with organisational policies.
· Conduct on-the-job training and coaching to enhance team members' skills and confidence in delivering a first-class experience.
· Conduct audits in line with the Loveday way and ensure the standards are trained to all new and existing employees.
Hospitality Excellence
· Champion the principles of five-star service across all touchpoints, from reception and housekeeping to dining and members engagement.
· Work closely with care and hospitality teams to integrate luxury standards into day-to-day operations while maintaining regulatory compliance.
· Collaborate with General Managers and Heads of Departments to identify and address service delivery gaps, designing bespoke training solutions as needed.
· Design and develop comprehensive training programs focused on leadership.
Performance & Quality
• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, observation, and performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and resources that reflect the luxury and care-focused ethos of the organisation.
• Support audits and inspections by ensuring all staff are knowledgeable and equipped to deliver a consistent high standard of service.
• Ensure all training programs comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on training activities and outcomes.
Key Competencies
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to align training initiatives with business goals and drive organisational excellence.
• Hospitality Expertise: Proven experience in luxury hospitality, with a deep understanding of five-star service standards.
• Communication & Coaching: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to inspire and motivate teams at all levels.
• Adaptability: Ability to tailor training approaches to diverse audiences, including care staff, hospitality teams, and senior leaders.
• Detail-Oriented: Commitment to ensuring every interaction reflects the highest standard of luxury and care.
Qualifications & Experience
• Proven experience as a trainer, preferably in luxury hospitality, premium care, or a similar customer-focused industry.
• Strong understanding of the unique operational and cultural needs of luxury care homes or equivalent environments.
• Relevant certifications in training, hospitality management, or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Exceptional knowledge of hospitality operations, including front-of-house, food and beverage, and guest services.
• Experience in developing and delivering training programs, both in-person and virtually.
• PGCE Teachers Training Qualification
• Train the Trainer
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, preferably in the luxury hospitality or healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in using learning management systems and training software.
• Strong knowledge of training best practices and adult learning principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging training programs.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing training needs and evaluating program effectiveness.
