Description

Dakota Hotel based in Glasgow City Centre are seeking a hard-working and skilled individual for the role of  Maintenance Technician with a focus on Painting & Decorating.

 

CONTRACT AND PAY RATE 

Earnings are £13.25 per hour, paid weekly equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £25,838

The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 37.5 hours per week and typical shifts will be 9am-5:30pm, working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday.  

 

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • To carry out painting tasks within guest bedrooms, public areas and the grounds.
  • Work strictly within health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure that all tasks and requests are carried out efficiently and in a timely matter.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to maintain company standards within guest bedrooms and public areas. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance of the building and its grounds.
  • Complete general maintenance tasks such as DIY tasks and de-scaling shower heads, siliconing and grouting, carrying out light works in bathrooms.
  • Prepare walls for painting including sanding, filling and ames taping where necessary.

  • Physically able to carry out maintenance tasks and be standing for the entirety of your shift
  • Work well by themselves and work with pace
  • Keen attention to detail and high standards of finishing.
    • Be able to be physically active in your role, standing for much of your shift and working at pace.
    • An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
    • Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
    • Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.
