We are looking for a stimulating and challenging position as a Delivery Driver at our busy bakery. An ideal candidate should be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

THIS POSITION IS FOR AN OVERNIGHT BAKERY DELIVERY DRIVER, THE HOURS ARE 3AM-11AM. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS.

Responsibilities:
  • Collecting Invoices for the delivery route to check off as products are loaded into truck.
  • Organizing cold products into cooler bags, frozen gelatos into electric coolers and bread products onto shelves in trucks.
  • Communicating with the Chef on property with any discrepancies found while loading product.
  • Driving a box truck and/or sprinter to routed locations and delivering products to locations in a timely manner.
  • Unloading products at each stop and delivering to customer's designated delivery area, getting invoices checked and signed off on.
  • Picking up any products that are for other stops and/or bakery equipment needing to be returned for cleaning.
  • Once route is complete, returning truck and/or sprinter back to bakery to clean and organize.
  • Cleaning out coolers, sanitizing all cooler bags, and wiping down/sanitizing shelves.
  • Bringing all equipment back to organize on bakery shelves, while maintaining a neat and orderly loading dock.
  • Maintaining vehicles with a weekly cleanly and communicating any vehicle needs to the Chef.
  • Making sure the box truck and sprinter have the proper gas level to complete routes, if needed, securing the purchasing card and getting gas.
  • Respectful of the space, peers, and products being delivered.
  • Reading and following invoices to ensure all product is delivered to appropriate locations on time.
  • Willingness to learn and work together as a team.
  • Comfortable driving a box truck long distances (Winston Salem is a daily drive).
