Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Privacy Legal Counsel Sr. Manager to join our Global Privacy Office. The Data Privacy Sr. Manager will support the development and implementation of Radisson’s privacy framework globally. This role will also serve as the primary contact for various privacy and data protection issues within Radisson Hotel Group globally. Based in Brussels, the Data Privacy Sr. Manager will report to the Head of the Global Privacy Office and Data Protection Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Support the development, implementation and maintenance of global privacy policies, programs, and processes across the company

·       Offer practical, actionable advice on privacy and data protection matters to various business stakeholders, translating complex legal concepts into understandable language

·       Conduct DPIAs to track and address privacy and data protection issues, report and escalate findings when necessary

·       Develop and deliver innovative programs to build culture and awareness of privacy and data protection including new hire training, department-specific training, and ongoing awareness activities

·       Collaborate with other members of the legal team on privacy and data protection related matters pertaining to their areas of responsibility, and help review and negotiate data sharing and data processing agreements

·       Participate in or lead privacy-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope, while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and risk management

·       Assist the team as required with managing personal data inventories, handling data subject requests and inquiries, and vendor due diligence

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Master’s degree in law from a reputable University (a CIPP-E/CIPM certification is a plus)

·       Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a lawyer at a reputable law firm, or as in-house counsel at a leading international company, in a role substantially involving privacy and data protection matters

·       Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and precision in handling assignments

·       Excellent command of verbal and written communication, including the ability to translate complex/technical legal concepts to all business stakeholders

·       Capable of providing practical, actionable advice that balances privacy risk and business impact in a dynamic, culturally diverse and international environment

·       Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders and departments

·       Additionally, experience in project management is highly beneficial

·       Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus

·       Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
