About You – The Role:

As our Chef de Partie, you’ll be an essential part of delivering impeccable food quality that matches our reputation as Britain’s Premier Wedding Venue. You’ll work a designated quota of weddings across the year, developing your planning skills and culinary expertise along the way. We aim to develop our chefs to allow for growth and promotion within the brigade in the future..

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up your station at the start of each shift, ensuring readiness for smooth service.
  • Assist with all food prep, including marinating, cutting, and pre-cooking, as required.
  • Execute a portion of each plated dish to our high standards, maximizing guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within your area, adhering to all health and safety standards.
  • Store ingredients correctly and manage inventory to minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with in-house departments for seamless operations and communication.
  • Support in new menu preparation and contribute to creative food presentation.
  • Produce food of the highest quality in line with Country House Weddings standards, even in the Head Chef’s absence.
  • Ensure adherence to recipes, quality guidelines, and all health and hygiene requirements, with documentation maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-quality kitchen environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety protocols and willingness to undergo first-aid training.
  • Passionate about culinary excellence and delivering memorable guest experiences.

The Hope & Anchor is a beautiful riverside pub, restaurant & inn nestled in the heart of Ross-On-Wye with multiple dining options for customers including a traditional pub bar and a modern cocktail bar, two restaurants, a riverside hut serving those on the go, and a spacious garden with outdoor seating including a Bandstand and all-weather tent area, both of which can house entertainment. We also have 12 beautiful recently refurbished riverside en-suite rooms available, with breakfast included and served in the pub.
