Role Description

Bar staff at a temporary event in Canary Wharf, serving customers hot and cold festive drinks, providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.

Zero Hour Contract, Flexible working hours. Weekend and evening work is required.  

Event runs November to February

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Smiling and greeting customers on entry, ensuring a warm welcome.
• Promptly and efficiently serving drinks to customers at the bar.
• Maintain a clean and tidy service area including all bars, tables and seating areas.
• Making sure there is always plenty of stock and glasses behind all bar areas.
• Upsell menu items to enhance the experience and increase sales.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, addressing any concerns promptly.
• Cut and prepare any garnishes required for drinks service.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Report to management on any issues or concerns.
• Gather feedback from customer experiences to improve the service offered.
• Serving food when required.

Skills

Technical

• Previous Customer facing experience.
• Experience working in a Bar.
• Experience working in a fast paced, high volume environment.

Personal

• Positive, ‘Can do’ attitude, picking up any additional responsibilities to help the wider team
• Ability to work independently and part of a large team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt.
• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written English.
