ICE BAR staff

Role Description

Serving staff in the ICE BAR at a temporary event in Canary Wharf, serving festive drinks and entertaining customers; providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.

Zero Hour Contract, Flexible working hours, Weekend and evening work is required.

Event runs November to February

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Smiling and greeting customers on entry, ensuring a warm welcome and engaging with them throughout their visit in the ice bar.
  • Working between the ice bar check in, cloakroom and ice bars.
  • Promptly and efficiently serving drinks to customers at the bar.
  • Explain the entertainment options available to customers inside the attraction.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy service area including the bar and customer areas.
  • Making sure there is always plenty of stock and glasses behind all bar areas.
  • Preparing the ice molds.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the experience and increase sales.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Cut and prepare any garnishes required for drinks service.

Working in the ice bar will require significant lengths of time in a cold environment. Staff will be rotated on a regular basis.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report to management on any issues or concerns.
  • Gather feedback from customer experiences to improve the service offered.

Skills

Technical

  • Previous Customer facing experience.
  • Experience working in a Bar.
  • Experience working in a Visitor Attraction is beneficial.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high volume environment.

Personal

  • Positive, ‘Can do’ attitude, picking up any additional responsibilities to help the wider team
  • Ability to work independently and part of a large team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt.
  • Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written English.
