Purpose of the role

As Director of Sales, you will take the lead in driving revenue growth, market share, and brand positioning, ensuring room2 Belfast becomes the top choice for long-stay, corporate, and eco-conscious accommodation. You will be the commercial face of room2 Belfast, responsible for executing a strategic, hands-on sales approach that delivers results.
This is a key leadership role for someone with knowledge of the Belfast hotelroom market and a track record of success in business development, corporate sales, and market expansion. You’ll have the opportunity to build and nurture high-value partnerships across corporate, MICE, leisure, and relocation sectors, helping to establish room2 Belfast as a market leader.
Collaborating with the Group Commercial Team (Revenue, Marketing, and Sales) and the room2 Belfast General Manager to achieve commercial targets and outperformance, it is essential you can be an ambassador for our core values: sustainability, innovation, and community engagement, bringing net-zero hometels to the Belfast market.

Key Responsibilities
People
Develop and execute a dynamic sales strategy to position room2 Belfast as the premier long-stay and corporate accommodation choice, focusing on building a healthy pipeline.
Identify and secure new business partnerships with key industries in Belfast.
Assisting Group Agent Account Manager to foster stronger connections with relocation agents, and travel management companies (TMCs)
Represent room2 Belfast at industry events, trade shows, and local networking forums, ensuring brand awareness and commercial growth.
Oversee corporate and long-stay accounts, ensuring high engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
Lead corporate contract negotiations, ensuring competitive pricing aligned with revenue goals
Drive internal lead generation initiatives.
Work closely with the Revenue Team to optimise pricing strategies, forecasting, and market positioning
Places
Provide regular insights into market trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities to keep room2 Belfast ahead of industry shifts.
Partner with local business networks, chambers of commerce, and economic development agencies to strengthen room2 Belfast’s influence in the corporate landscape.
Act as the on-the-ground commercial expert, feeding valuable insights to the Group Director of Sales and HQ teams.
Organise site inspections, FAM trips, and account review meetings to deepen client relationships and showcase the hometel experience.
Expand leisure market share, recognizing Belfast’s growing reputation as a top weekend destination, developing relationships with travel agencies, lifestyle brands, and event organisers.

Technical Knowledge
Proven experience in hotelroom sales & business development
