Description

Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking an Assistant Front Office Manager to join the team in its unique four-star hotel.

You will report to the Front Office Manager and play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the Front Office. Working closely with your colleagues, you will help deliver exceptional guest service by anticipating guest needs and maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism at all times.

As Assistant Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and supervising the day-to-day operations of the Front Office department

  • Assisting the Front Office Manager in organising staff, rotas and shift coverage

  • Ensuring the highest level of guest service standards are delivered consistently

  • Overseeing guest check-in and check-out processes to ensure a seamless experience

  • Handling and resolving guest enquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, escalating where appropriate

  • Ensuring all cash handling, key control and reservation procedures are followed correctly

  • Ensuring full compliance with Front Office SOPs and company standards

  • Monitoring upselling performance, preparing weekly upselling trackers and reporting results to management

  • Keeping the team informed of daily operations, VIP arrivals and hotel events through regular briefings

  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of hotel facilities, services and products

  • Coaching, training and supporting team members’ development

  • Promoting a positive, professional and collaborative working environment

  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Licensing and Employment legislation

  • Attending training sessions, appraisals and departmental/hotel meetings as required

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in a hospitality environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role within Front Office

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • A proactive, organised and guest-focused approach

  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
