Description

Position: Host 

We are seeking a dynamic, outgoing and customer-focused venue host to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and providing an exceptional dining experience for all guests. If you have a passion for customer service, a friendly demeanour, and strive for perfection, we would love to hear from you. 

 About us: The Oyster Shed is located in a serene spot on the banks of the Thames yet central to all the action in the City of London. It has a multitude of spaces both indoors and outdoors.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere 

  • Answer phone enquiries in a polite and professional manner 

  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements in a timely and efficient manner 

  • Assist the management team identifying and solving any potential complaints before they become an issue in a timely and satisfactory manner 

  • Monitor wait times and provide guests with accurate wait time estimates 

  • Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a professional and friendly manner 

  • Collaborate with the front of house team to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests 

  • Generate some social media content to assist the Events & Marketing team

Required: 

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting 

  • Ability to multitask 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills 

  • Flexible with working hours
