Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bookings & Events Manager to join our expanding team. In this exciting role, you will oversee private hires at all our Trading Post Coffee Roaster locations across Brighton, Lewes, Worthing, Chichester and Horsham. 

You will also manage bookings and events at Ohso Social, a busy Brighton beachfront venue, along with The Dorset pub/restaurant, located in the heart of the vibrant North Laines in Brighton.

You will be working from our head office located in Woodingdean Business Park while attending meetings at various venues and managing on-site bookings. Flexibility is key, as this role requires weekend and evening work to support on-site events.

As the Bookings Manager, your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional service and communication to our customers. This can range from managing individual group bookings to overseeing full venue hires, ensuring every event runs smoothly and meets guest’s expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the bookings team to ensure operational excellence.
  • Oversee the full event process, from the initial enquiry to post-event follow-up.
  •  Collaborate with guests to fully understand their event needs and create customised experiences.
  •  Work closely with internal teams, including catering, operations, venue managers and marketing, to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Proactively identify upselling opportunities to enhance services and packages, driving sales and boosting revenue.
  • Develop strong working relationships with both new and existing guests to secure repeat business.
  • Ensure events run smoothly, delivering excellent guest satisfaction and high-quality results.
  • Evaluate event success and suggest improvements for future events.
  • Provide monthly analysis on revenue, covers, and booked events.
  • Monitor all information online and ensure company information is kept up to date 


Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in event management, or similar role within hospitality 
  • Track record of success in driving sales and revenue through follow up of booking leads
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking abilities.
  •  Loves our brands
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using booking management systems (ResDiary experience is a plus, but not essential).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Self-motivated, Proven organisational skills and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive approach to client relations and business development.
  •  Attend networking events to attract new booking opportunities and build relationships
